When do nonprofits receive their earnings and how will I know they did?

CafeGive makes payments to nonprofits on a quarterly basis, providing there is a minimum of $25 in their CafeGive account. It typically takes 6-12 weeks for CafeGive to receive payments from the e-commerce partners. This allows for normal accounting cycles and for any returns to be processed.

How much money will the nonprofit earn and who pays it?

Each merchant determines the amount paid for each purchase. The specific terms for each merchant are listed below the banner on our site as well as in the store details section. The percent earned automatically displays in any widgets for the store. The exact amount earned is calculated based on the total amount of the purchases completed, excluding taxes and shipping costs.

How does CafeGive work?

Merchants on CafeGive’s website pay CafeGive an advertising commission for each purchase that comes from CafeGive. CafeGive shares that commission with the Cause for whom the shopper had selected to earn. Of course, the more shoppers earning for you, the more funds you raise! Causes receive payments quarterly, providing they have earned $25. Payments come with a report of the sales that earned for you! (If you don’t have $25 at the time we write checks, it rolls over to the next period.)

How can my nonprofit join?

Its easy! If you are with a nonprofit that would like to join CafeGive, complete the brief Cause Request form. (It is helpful to have your logo and a short blurb about your organization handy. This will speed up the sign-up a lot!) CafeGive reviews all nonprofit requests within 48 hours. We will then send an invite to join CafeGive. After which we will launch your Cause on CafeGive and shoppers can start earning for you!

What does it cost?

There are absolutely no extra costs! There is no fee for the cause to participate and no additional costs for the shopper. Our most successful causes invest some time and energy getting the word out. We will supply you with marketing materials for your website, newsletters and social media marketing. Participating causes have access to our Resource Center which includes engaging, current and seasonal marketing materials with which to share CafeGive with your supporters.
