Welcome to our Cafegive page! We hope you'll take some time to learn about the important work that the "I Have A Dream" Foundation does around the country, and to create widgets that allow you and your friends to contribute to our cause. We appreciate your support.

Our mission is to help low income kids succeed in schools and college. Founded in 1990, "I Have a Dream" Foundation - Oregon has helped over 900 students stay focused on their academic goals and given them the opportunity to pursue a college degree. Our vision is that all children will grow up with the chance to become educated, engaged, and successful citizens in our communities.

Currently, we have three active classes of dreamers in the 5th, 9th and 11th grades. These dreamers came from three schools in the Portland and west metro areas and are now dispersed to over 25 schools in and around Portland. We continue to provide services to our dreamers as they move through their educational process regardless of where they end up. In addition, we have two classes of dreamers pursuing college degrees or other certification programs. In our last class of graduating high school dreamers, over 93% received their high school degree (in stark contrast with the average of 30-40% in this demographic). Our goal is help move children out of poverty and into a world they might never have imagined. Our success continues to be demonstrated in our ability to double and triple high school graduation rates, and our tremendous success moving kids into college and other advanced degrees.
