Deschutes Children's Foundation
Deschutes Children’s Foundation’s values are simple. We believe children and families are society’s building blocks, a comfortable and respectful environment fosters good results, communication and collaboration produce good outcomes, and our community deserves accountability and efficient use of its resources.
Deschutes Children’s Foundation manages four collaborative campuses located in Bend, La Pine and Redmond. Currently these campuses are home to 27 human service programs that last year experienced more than 75,000 client visits. Resident programs benefit from rent-free space and shared expenses. DCF saves these programs an estimated $800,000 annually. Close collaboration with a synergistic mix of programs housed together fosters effective, efficient, easy to find, and child-friendly facilities.
There is never a more important time for DCF’s innovative model to be sustained. The Foundation receives no federal, state, or local tax dollars and relies on the support of the community - individuals, private foundations and businesses - to continue its service to children and families. In order for us to continue to provide rent-free space and keep the low cost use fee affordable to the resident programs residing on our four campuses, it is imperative that we do all we can to raise the necessary awareness and funds, allowing resident program funding to go directly to serving the needs of the children and families in our community.
