The IMHO
Welcome to IMHO’s CafeGive page! It is my great privilege to introduce the International Medical Health Organization (IMHO) and to share with you the work we are doing to improve the health and well being of some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Health is at the core of building a better tomorrow, as without a healthy global society, we cannot properly tackle the many issues related to international development and overall prosperity. We encourage you to join with us in making a difference in the lives of many across the globe. Thank you for your compassion and support!

IMHO is a grassroots global health nonprofit organization that seeks to improve and develop healthcare services and infrastructure in under-served regions worldwide. The organization was founded in 2004 by a volunteer group of committed doctors and other professionals across the U.S. that shared a vision for improved global health and medical care.
At present IMHO is primarily focused on impoverished and war-affected regions of Sri Lanka, where marginalized populations have endured conflict for over three decades, poverty, and other hardships. IMHO is focused on the rebuilding effort in Sri Lanka following the official culmination of the civil war in 2009 and continues to provide much needed medical care to those in need throughout the region. IMHO has developed healthcare systems through training and providing resources to medical personnel & students, establishing primary healthcare centers & psychiatric centers, providing essential health education, counseling, nutrition, & treatment, operating mobile clinics in out-of-reach regions, undertaking various efforts in specialty care, and much more.
IMHO also responds in times of crisis, such as the 2004 Asian tsunami, the recent earthquake in Haiti, and other natural & manmade disasters, by helping to address immediate health & medical needs and providing life-saving nutrition, medicines, and shelter. IMHO is able to deliver aid and develop local infrastructure with great success on account of an extensive network of personal and professional contacts on the ground.
